System Administrator

Shipping company providing stevedoring services, freight forwarding and logistics, shipbuilding, and offshore transshipment operations.

Requirements

– System administration of company servers: data storage and updates, PC maintenance, support of remote networks, sourcing spare parts, minor hardware repairs, etc.
– Technologies the candidate for the System Administrator position should be familiar with:

• Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
• Mail server (Zimbra)
• Linux (backup, DNS, Apache/Nginx, VPN)
• Networking: MikroTik, VLAN, VPN, Wi-Fi
• Telephony: Asterisk
• VPN, Wi-Fi, wired networks
• Basic knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Containerization: Docker
• Virtualization: Proxmox, KVM/QEMU
• English level sufficient to read technical documentation
• Handling local IT tasks

Key responsibilities

– Maintenance and administration of the company’s software and network infrastructure, ensuring stable operation and resolving day-to-day issues related to employees’ PCs and IT systems.
