Branch Director / General Manager

Berezka is an international chain of Slavic cuisine grocery stores and culinary shops, bringing together tradition, quality, and a warm, caring attitude toward every guest.

We create a space where you can feel the taste of home: fresh pastries, homemade semi-finished products, salads, hot dishes, delicacies, and foods from around the world.

The company operates in Serbia, Cyprus, and other countries, developing its own production and retail network. Our mission is to preserve and share the flavors we have loved since childhood.

Requirements

The Director is responsible for driving growth of key performance indicators at each location — average check, traffic, and margin — participating in sales analysis, promotions, and marketing activities. Oversees pricing strategy in line with market conditions, brand positioning, and margin requirements. Accountable for planned profitability of divisions, works with P&L, sets targets for profit growth and cost optimization. Manages staff, participates in recruitment and performance evaluation, and builds an effective team. Ensures lawful business operations, interacts with regulatory authorities, and provides regular reporting to shareholders. Initiates and implements development projects, including new locations, business lines, and assortment expansion.

Requirements: proven experience managing retail formats or a branch; strong understanding of financial metrics and P&L management; high motivation for growth; stress resilience; readiness to work “in the field” alongside the team; ability to lead by example and deliver results; willingness to work irregular hours; high level of responsibility, independence, and self-organization. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate diverse teams are essential. The company’s working language is Russian; English at B2 level or higher is desirable; Serbian is an advantage; additional languages are welcome. A valid driver’s license and confident driving skills are mandatory.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for organizing and controlling procurement of products and raw materials, ensuring consistent assortment availability without overstocking warehouses and stores and maintaining defect levels within acceptable standards. Proposing and implementing assortment development changes and participating in supplier negotiations. Ensuring stable and high-quality operation of in-house production, monitoring availability of the approved culinary assortment, and compliance with quality standards. Organizing timely and efficient logistics between departments and retail locations.
