I am a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in: designing machine tools (milling, turning, FDM/FFF and FGF 3D printers); industrial design (development of enclosures and the appearance of machines and equipment); designing industrial equipment (process line modules, service platforms and related hardware); designing parts and products made of carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and polymers (3D-printable materials, polyamide and PTFE).
Serving as Lead Design Engineer, supervising 1–2 design engineers (depending on the project) in day-to-day project execution, 3D modeling, and engineering documentation development.
Key Design Projects:
– Designed the full operator enclosure, cutting fluid reservoirs and mechanical structure of the electrical cabinet for a high-precision 3-axis CNC milling machine.
– Developed simplified visual models of turning and milling machines for the CNC system’s internal HMI interface.
– Designed transport packaging solutions for a series of CNC lathes. Variants for road and sea freight.
Other Activities:
– Performed strength and stiffness calculations in Ansys Workbench for key components of a 3-axis milling machine (machine base, column, and headstock). Also performed calculations for transport packaging of CNC turning machines (wooden and steel skids).
– Participated in cross-departmental meetings with management to present design solutions for CNC milling machine and discuss upcoming projects.
– Reconstructed missing machine documentation (schematics of kinematic, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and cutting fluid systems) from machine shop photos, allowing customer acceptance of delivered CNC equipment (one-time external project involving multiple machines).
Key Design Projects:
– Design of mechanical units for stationary and modular plants producing emulsion explosives on-site in mining operations.
– Design of mobile machines for transporting, mixing, and loading emulsion explosives at blast sites.
Other Activities:
– Maintained the same core responsibilities as before, with minor updates.
– Performed strength and stiffness calculations in Ansys Workbench for pressure vessels, platforms, and brackets.
– Designed and 3D-printed promotional items (keychains, souvenirs, exhibition models) using Bambu Lab P1S with AMS (multi-color FDM).
Key Design Projects:
– Upgraded and redesigned an industrial 3D printer (FDM/FFF technology). Supervised component manufacturing, optimized assembly processes, and supported transition from prototype to serial production.
– Designed a pellet hopper with pneumatic feeding and integrated drying system for a large-format industrial 3D printer (FGF technology).
– Designed the mechanical structure of HMI control cabinet enclosures, in collaboration with an electrical engineer on internal component layout.
Other Activities:
Developed 3D models for:
– CNC machining (lathes and 3-axis mills),
– Sheet metal fabrication (laser/plasma cutting and bending),
– Additive manufacturing (FDM/FFF 3D printing).
– Designed welded structures from steel profiles and sheet metal (SMAW, MIG, TIG and laser welding).
– Prepared engineering documentation for parts, assemblies, and welded constructions, including DXF files for laser/plasma cutting.
– Conducted reverse engineering of parts (manual measurement).
– Liaised between design team, internal assembly shop, and outsourced machine shops.
Design (CAD): KOMPAS-3D – advanced; SOLIDWORKS – basic; Siemens NX – basic; Engineering Analysis (CAE): Ansys Workbench – intermediate. Experience in 3D printing (FDM/FFF): Printers: Bambu Lab P1S with AMS; Elegoo Neptune 4 Max; Slicers: Bambu Studio; Orca Slicer; Prusa Slicer.
