Job: Assistant Theatre Director
– Assisting in selecting technical equipment and props, conducting research to find quality products within the company budget
– Creating and maintaining an up-to-date schedule and availability for artistic staff
– Sorting scripts by relevance and year of creation
– Managing and verifying payroll submissions
– Developing a props plan for prop masters
– Keeping records of the work completed by prop masters and artists
– Overseeing materials for props
– Compiling a list of outgoing materials for creating, repairing props, and developing new programs
– Creating lists of approved changes to props layouts for actors and props staff
– Maintaining a timing chart for intervals between programs
– Creating checklists for prop masters, including photo and video materials, and music tracks.
– Monitoring and ensuring cleanliness in the storage area and for prop storage
– Optimizing space and repairing shelving units
– Participating in generating ideas for thematic programs for children
– Collaborating with the director and production team to ensure a cohesive vision
– Assisting in rehearsals and providing feedback to actors
– Coordinating communication between departments
– Contributing to the overall production design and aesthetic
