Worked on the project called Network Service Mesh. NSM (Network Service Mesh) is an open-source Service Mesh solution operating at the L2/L3 level, designed for building complex high-load network topologies. The system’s architecture is distributed, with a large number of services that are dynamically created and removed. NSM can be deployed in a variety of environments, including Kubernetes, Docker, virtual machines, and bare-metal hosts.

– Fully set up and configured the CI/CD pipelines for the project
– Developed and implemented several major features in Go, including: DNS server, vL3 network support, vL3 Liveness Check, integrations with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Jaeger, integration with Linkerd, and integration with OPA (Open Policy Agent)
– Wrote numerous unit and integration tests
– Contributed a feature to VPP (Vector Packet Processing)
– Regularly worked with the VPP source code for analysis and debugging
– Identified and fixed multiple memory and CPU leaks, performing multi-day testing under various high-load scenarios
– Implemented several significant optimizations that improved specific aspects of the system by up to x5
– Developed several new services
– Communicated directly with clients to support their usage of NSM, ensuring optimal performance under loads exceeding 500,000 TPS
